No Room at the Inn!

As of right now (February 16, 2026), all Clackamas County housing waitlists are closed. This means that it will be a long while before they open up again. It also probably means that subsidised housing is off the table for now.

I did some digging and found that there are some two bedroom, one bath apartments in Gladstone for around $1,500 a month. There is one that I am specifically looking at (the link is down below), and it is one street down from my work!

The current option that I am thinking right now is to save up as much money as we can, cutting costs as much as we can, that way we can have a three-month “blanket” for rent. Once we move into the place, we can start caregiving for David to get extra money.

I think that is our best plan for right now.
